This super simple scarf is made to feature the irregularities in handspun yarn. The motif is interesting enough to pair with a monochromatic yarn but simple enough to look striking with a variegated fiber.

About the yarn

Spun from Blue Faced Leicester, and plied using the Andean plying method. This yarn is very lightly spun to retain the softness and lightly plied so that the lace will block out beautifully.

The finished yarn averages about 15 wraps per inch, but you don’t need to match it exactly, since scarves can be worked in a variety of widths and to whatever length allowed by yardage. If your yarn is a substantially different weight, add or subtract pattern repeats to get the perfect size.
