Imagine a placid lake at sunset, lily pads floating on the surface. Specs of light flicker across the water and fading sunlight catch a drop on a petal. That's what I envision while knitting this hat.

I've worked it from the top down but the chart allows you to easily reverse the directions to work bottom up or in the round from either direction. One note, though, if you work it in the round, don't forget to remove the extra selvage stitch on each end of the pattern.

Finishing

Sew up back seam of hat

Sew in all ends with a tapestry needle.

Attach white flower to green leaves

With needle and thread, knot end of thread and draw through back of flower, at center. Thread on one sequin and one yellow bead. Bring thread back through sequin hole and back through flower.

Repeat process with the other five beads/sequins attaching them in a circle around center bead. Please refer to images for reference.

Attach flower to hat VERY SECURLY. The flower is fairly heavy, so err on the side of caution and really get that sucker well secured.
