It's my little blog's birthday, and she's two! Only 19 more years until she can drink, and I can take her out for a margarita.
So what has happened around here since my last anniversary? Catch a year in review, after the bump.
- I took a machine knitting course
- Made my first sock pattern
- I had some fun beach adventures
- I had a pattern published in MagKnits.
- I went hiking
- I designed and knit Deciduous
- I had a pattern published in a calendar
- I asked Leo to retire a hat.
- I was on Knitty Gritty
- I was on it a second time
- I got to meet Annie
- I tried a spinning wheel
- Panda had a modeling gig
- Kittens
- I switched blogging platforms
- I taught some knitting classes
- I devoted two whole blog posts to the subject of stitch markers
- I went to Stitches West
- I acquired quite a collection of spindles
- I designed and knit my first shawl. And made it out of handspun, no less
- I offered a chunky hat pattern for free
- Faked my way through some belly dancing
- Knit a whole bunch of ruffles
- FINALLY finished the pattern for Deciduous
- Photographed a dog in ducky slippers
- Released the Drake the Dreaded pattern
- Have been invited to speak at BlogHer 2006
- Watched both my brother and my boyfriend ingest things I would not.
- Gave a baby a little Gir
- Knit my sweetie a sweater And
- Showed you my buns
Those are just the highlights, of course. There's so much that happens in a year, but it is fun to look back and remember all those fond memories.

I like to think that blog years are like dog years. Which of course means you can take your little blog out for a drink in just another year! For now, you'll just have to celebrate for the both of you. Happy blogiversary!

Happy birthday to one of my favorite blogs!! (might even be my MOST favorite?) Today is a knitting celebration day, it is also Grumperina's knitting anniversary. I will have to celebrate by...uh...knitting all day. What a pity.
